Paul Auster é um autor que me marcou pela sua crueza e sensibilidade simultâneas. Pelo facto de olhar para si e para os outros com a lupa do realismo. Este ano, que recebeu o prémio Letras Principe de Astúrias, queria prestar-lhe uma espécie de homenagem com uma citação de um livro que gostei muito: 'In the country of last things'.
